D8 Skills #117 & D9 | Unit E | Finishing mix for Harry Skinner

Before Session #7 with Andy, after I'd set up all my gear, I used the Neumann U87 to record my foot tapping the wooden floor which I'll use in my mix for Harry Skinner.

I haven't actually been commissioned to mix this track as Harry wanted to mix it himself, however, I'm doing it anyway to develop my skills and have more high-quality material in my portfolio. Harry is a professional and reputable artist, therefore this work has achieved my medium-term goal set out in my development plan.

Harry had mentioned before our recording session that he wasn't sure if his foot tapping would sound good on the carpet. I told him that I'd move it, but he said not to.
I found that his foot tapping on the carpet wasn't punchy enough. I'd previously replaced it using the technique I talk about HERE with a deep kick drum sample which sounds a lot better, however, it isn't audible on my phone speakers, so today I layered it with a high-frequency foot tap.
