Today, Andy and I spent some time working on the production for 'The Joy That Slowly Died'.
Andy was the creative force, making the decisions and doing the performing. When he wanted a specific sound (e.g. a gong/flute/viola/ride cymbal), I quickly brought one up for him to play. This is a new role for me, therefore a new skill that I've learned.
Keeping my creativity aside and acting like a machine, doing tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible for the artist that I'm working with is a good skill to have as I may have jobs like this in the future.
