We were given an assignment to record some sounds, and manipulate them in whatever ways we please to morph them into something else.
Here is what I produced (the raw recording is first, followed by the edited):
Alarm


- Origin: Beep the a door makes when you get the password wrong
1. Repeated it
2. Low Cut at 344Hz
3. A lot of distortion
4. 1/8 note echo to give it space (as if it were in a building)
5. Small amount of reverb
Helicopter


- Origin: Wiggling ruler close to mic so that the air hit the mic
1. EQ boosting highs
2. Sample delay to give it stereo width
3. Small amount of reverb
Window Scrubbing


- Origin: Squeaky door opening and closing
1. Low Cut at 262Hz
Shotgun Ch-ch


- Origin: Door lock opening and closing
1. Low Cut at 46.4Hz
2. Distortion
3. Overdrive
4. Enveloper bringing down the gain of the release to lower reverb
Benjy Fart


- Origin: Benj’s mouth
1. Low Cut at 48.2Hz
2. Pitch shift -5 semitones to achieve desired moisture
