D8 Skills #60 | Learning about Multiband Compression for Mastering

Today, I began learning how to use multiband compression for mastering. In the past, I've always just used a standard compresser on my master chain. Using a multiband compressor allows for more control, for example, you could highly compress the bottom end to bring up the average amplitude, but only lightly compress the mids to allow for natural sounding dynamic range in instruments such as the vocals.

I will practice more with this.
