D8 Skills #76 & D9 | Recording Aleks & Andy's Performances | Unit E

Today, we recorded both Aleks and Andy's performances for the Premiere. Aleks DJ'd on his Roland SP-404 MkII, and Andy performed three songs - piano and vocals.

Aleks's performance only needed two channels recorded, so I went straight into my two-channel audio interface, however, Andy's performance needed three. Since the control room was in use, I set up the Soundcraft mixing desk and ran the Main L & R outs into my two-channel audio interface. I did all the mixing on the desk which was a little tricky being in the live room while the performance was being played out loud, however, I think it sounds good.
