D8 Skills #74 & D9 | Recording Piano Performance | Unit E

Today, we finished off recording the last interviews and then recorded my piano performance.

I already had a great recording of the piano piece I was going to play, so instead of recording it again live, I played that recording out loud while playing the piano along to it for the video - just like how music videos are done. I firstly set up a static wide angle of the whole piano and recorded a full take, then recorded another full take of a static angle of my hands, then another static take of my face. After this, another member of my team came in and got some moving video.

This was very quick, and as usual, I organised all the files on my MacBook for a smooth edit.
